Police: 3 including 15-year-old accused of Kansas armed robbery

SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities investigating  two armed robberies and have made three arrests.

On August 19, the Kwik Shop in the 6300 block of E. 13th St North in Wichita was robbed at gun point by two masked suspects, according to Officer Kris Gupilan.

The suspects left with approximately $200 in cash and fled south towards 12th Street

On August 22, another armed robbery occurred at the Valero gas station in the 200 block of S. Hillside in Wichita. Two masked suspects came into the store and robbed the clerk at gunpoint.

Officers arrived on the scene and processed it and were able to gather evidence.

From the evidence gathered, police identified three suspects involved with both armed robberies.

 With the joint operation of investigators, police officers, and specialty units they were able to locate and arrest 18-year-old Carlos Meraz of Wichita, a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy both of Wichita for aggravated robbery,
