SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a weekend SUV accident and continue to search for the driver.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that just after 3p.m. Saturday, a 2004 Chevy Tahoe was northbound on the ramp from Northbound Interstate 135 to Eastbound Kellogg.

The SUV traveled off of the roadway, through a guard rail and came to rest on Grove Street under the exit ramp.

EMS transported a passenger Monica Marie White, 28, Wichita, to Wesley Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. The driver fled from the scene on foot. White was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
