KANSAS CITY —Investigators are working to determine the cause of a house fire in Kansas City.
Just after 1:30p.m. Sunday, crews responded to a reported house fire in the 1600 block of Poplar, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins. First responders reported smoke and fire from the second floor of the two-story house.
Occupants were able to escape before fire crews arrived. It took about 40 minutes to get this fire under control. Despite the near zero temperatures, there were no injuries reported.
