OTTAWA COUNTY —An earthquake shook portions of north-central Kansas Friday evening.
The quake occurred just after 6p.m. p.m. and measured a magnitude 4.0 according to a preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake was centered approximately 1.2 miles northwest of Bennington.
The Ottawa County sheriff's office reported they received calls asking about the quake. There were no reports of damage or injury.
