SEDGWICK COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident involving a law enforcement vehicle just after 12:30a.m. Saturday in Sedgwick County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Chevy 4-door Aveo driven by Latrina R. Hawkins, 40, Wichita, was exiting Interstate 235 northbound to Central Avenue.
When the driver attempted to make a left turn onto Central, the car struck the passenger side of an eastbound Wichita Police Ford Explorer responding to a call with lights and siren activated.
EMS transported Hawkins to St. Francis Hospital. The officer identified as 27-year-old Watcharanan Kanhasee was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
