SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities and USD 261 officials are investigating after a student brought a gun to Campus High School Tuesday in Haysville.
According to a message sent to parents, on Tuesday the Campus administration was made aware that a student brought a gun into the building.
The Haysville Police Department was immediately notified and the building was placed in a “HOLD” mode. Students were to stay in their classroom or area and the hallways were to be cleared. The school administrators located the student and the gun was confiscated by the Haysville Police Department.
No threats were made toward staff or students and no one was hurt during the incident. There will be additional police presence at the building.
Campus administration is working with the Haysville Police Department as they are investigating the incident.
