MARION COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 1p.m. Monday in Marion County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Ram 1500 driven by Kendall Layne Harding, 29, Lost Springs, Kansas was northbound on U.S. 56 just north of 270th Road The pickup traveled into the southbound lane and struck a 2023 Peterbilt semi head-on.
Harding was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Yazel-Megli-Zeiner Funeral Homes. The semi driver Jason Philip Mathews, 36, Garnet, was not injured. Harding was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
