Police captured wanted murder suspect with “Scooby Doo” tattoo

KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a deadly stabbing and after asking for help have taken a suspect identified as 34-year-old Anthony Durking into custody.

Just before 4:30p.m. Nov. 12, a citizen transported a man to  Fire Station #3 in Independence, Missouri, with apparent stab wounds, for medical treatment, according to a media release.

As fire department personnel were rendering aid to the individual, he died of his injuries.

During the investigation, it was determined that the stabbing occurred in the area of Truman Road and Hardy Avenue, according to online jail records, Durkin is being held without bond in the Johnson County, Missouri jail.

Police had described him as having a tattoo “RESPETO” on the right side of his neck and tattoo “Scooby Doo” on his right arm. Durkin in homeless, according to police. Authorities have not reported possible charges he will face.
