Suspect accused of selling fentanyl, meth near a Kansas school

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating five suspect on drug allegations.

On February 15, 2024, members of the Topeka Police Department Narcotics Unit served a search warrant in the 5200 Block SW 27th Street in Topeka related to an ongoing investigation, according to Police Lt. Ronnie Connell.

While conducting the search warrant, officers located fentanyl, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

As a result police arrested Jana Steele, 40; Christen Hollis, 39; Tyrone Popejoy, 42; Thomas Tadlock, 40, and Halie Clinton, 29.

 Steele is being held on requested charges of Distribution of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine within 1000’ of a school, No Drug Tax Stamp, Interference, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a County Arrest Warrant

Christen Hollis is jailed on requested charges of Interference and a County Arrest Warrant.

Tyrone Popejoy and Thomas were jailed on a requested charge of Interference

Halie Clinton was jailed on a requested charge on a County Arrest Warrant in connection with theft.
