JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man on drug allegations.
Just before 9:30p.m. Dec. 29, a Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a black, Hyundai Sonata on U.S. 75 just south of 142nd Road for traffic violations, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
During the traffic stop, the deputy conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle, which revealed drug paraphernalia, hallucinogenic drugs, cocaine and an open container of alcohol.
The deputy arrested the driver, 31-year-old Ian Jameel Norvell Black of Topeka, on requested charge Possession of cocaine, Possession of hallucinogenic drugs, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Transporting an open container,Violation of restrictions on driver’s license, Defective tail lamp on motor vehicle and Improper driving on laned roadway.
