Drug task force finds meth at Kan. home near a school

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspect on drug charges.

On Wednesay, members of the Topeka Police Department Narcotics Unit and the Shawnee County Drug Task Force served a search warrant in the 1000 block SW Polk Avenue in Topeka in related to an ongoing investigation.

While conducting the search warrant, the officers located methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and firearms.

As a result, Jennifer Christie, 35 years of age, and Wren Graves, 48 years of age, both of Topeka, were transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections.

Christie is being held on requested charges of Possession of methamphetamine with the intent of distribution within 1000 feet of a school, Possession of marijuana with the intent of distribution within 1000 feet of a school, Possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent of distribution within 1000 feet of a school, Taxation; Drugs; No drug tax stamp for marijuana or control substance. Graves remains jailed on requested charges for Possession of methamphetamine and Possession of drug paraphernalia
