KANSAS CITY —Authorities are investigating the cause of a house fire in Kansas City.
Just before 11 p.m. Wednesday, crews responded to the report of a house fire in the 8400 block of Flora in Kansas City, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.
Crews reported smoke and fire showing from the residence. A search of the structure was conducted and came back all clear. After several minutes of interior operations Incident Command ordered an evacuation of the home. Defensive operations on the exterior of the structure were established.
One firefighter sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for further evaluation and was released early Thursday. Authorities released no damage estimate.
