Arrest made, drugs seized following narcotics search warrant

On Tuesday, Nov. 24 at approximately 1:40 p.m., members of the Great Bend Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence located at 1816 Hubbard Street in Great Bend as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation and an outside agency's stolen gun case.

During a search of the residence, methamphetamine, marijuana and items of illegal drug paraphernalia were located inside of the residence.

Jasmine Velasco, age 26, was arrested on charges of distribution of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, no drug tax stamp and theft of services.

Velasco was then transported to the Barton County Detention Center and booked in lieu of bond. The investigation is still ongoing.
