At 2:41 pm, WPD advised that they had located the child and she is safe. The father is in custody at this time. Law Enforcement thanks the public for their assistance in being vigilant during a Child Abduction event.

SEDGWICK COUNTY—Just before 11:30a.m. Sunday, Wichita police provided information to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. At 2:16a.m. Sunday, Araceli Gonzales was forcibly taken by her father Saul Gonzales Diaz from her mother.
The father had beaten the child's mother in a domestic incident and had a gun in his possession. The mother reported hearing a possible gunshot in the residence prior to the child being taken. Police believe the girls is in imminent danger.
The suspect left from 4240 E. Boston in Wichita. He was traveling in a 1998 White Dodge Ram 1500 Hundred pickup with Kansas tag 446-MLS.
Police believe the suspect and child may still be in the Wichita area. Please call 911 if you have seen the missing child or suspect.
