
CLOUD COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon on new allegations after an altercation with police.
Just after 7:30p.m. August 14, Concordia Police Officers made contact with 49-year-old Jason Carter, of Concordia, in the 100 block of Olive Street, according to a media release.
Carter was known to officers to have an active Cloud County warrant for Criminal Threat.
When officers advised Carter that he was under arrest, he attempted to flee from officers, resulting in a physical altercation. Officers were able to gain control of Carter and place him in handcuffs.
Carter was transported to Cloud County Corrections, where he was booked on his Cloud County warrant for Criminal Threat, as well as additional requested charges of Resisting Arrest, Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, and two counts of Criminal Damage to Property.
Carter has previous convictions for theft, battery, criminal damage to property, burglary, DUI and for drugs, according to the Kansas Deparatment of Corrections.
