SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a fatal shooting in Wichita continue asking the public for help to locate a suspect identified as Luis Jackson, according to a Crime Stoppers report.
Just after 2a.m. September 10, police were dispatched to report of a shooting in the 4000 block of West Memory Lane in Wichita, according to Officer Juan Rebolledo.
First responders located 19-year-old Zyles James of Wichita unconscious and not breathing with gunshot wounds to his upper and lower body.
Officers began providing life-saving efforts until EMS arrived. James was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
During the initial response, officers located another victim with a graze wound to the arm. The victim was transported to a local hospital and was treated and released.
