JACKSON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for alleged drug crimes.
Just after 2a.m. February 2, a Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a truck in the vicinity of 94th and U.S. 75 Highway, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
A Jackson County Sheriff’s K-9 alerted to the presence of illegal drug contraband inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and a quantity of methamphetamine was located. The driver, Travis Wallace Ray, 41, of Louisburg, Kansas was arrested on requested charges of driving under the influence, distribution of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ray was booked into the Jackson County Jail.
