KANSAS CITY —Authorities are investigating the cause of a house fire in Kansas City.
Just before 8p.m. Wednesday, crews responded to the report of a house fire in the 700 block of Benton, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.
First responders observed smoke and fire from the second floor of the two and a half story home.
Offensive interior operations were initiated, including searches of the home. All searches came back clear. The fire was placed under control 8p.m., according to Hopkins. There were no injuries reported. Authorities have not released a damage estimate.
