SALINE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a woman after she allegedly attacked her boyfriend with a knife.
Just after 1a.m. Friday, police responded to the Salina Regional Health Center on for a stabbing victim, according to Salina Police Lt. Kyle Tonniges.
The 32-year-old male victim reported his wound occurred during an argument with his girlfriend at the 1400 block of Cheyenne Avenue.
During this argument, the suspect identified as 35-year-old Erica Wroten took a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the chest, according to Tonniges. "Then Wroten gave him a ride to the hospital and left.
The emergency room staff treated the victim and released him.
Later Friday, police we were able to locate Wroten in the 500 block of Russell Avenue and arrested her on requested charges of attempted first-degree murder, domestic battery, interference with law enforcement and violating a protection order.
