KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a fatal accident that occurred just before 9p.m. Monday in Kansas City have identified the driver who died as 33-year-old Cy'erra R. Lowey of Kansas City, according to KCPD Captain Corey Carlisle.
A KIA Rondo driven by Lowery was southbound on Cleaver II at a very high rate of speed. Just before Elmwood, the KIA traveled off the road to the left through the grassy median and struck a large tree.
Lowery, sole occupant of the KIA, was pronounced deceased at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to Carlisle.
This is fatality #100 compared to #84 at this time last year.
