Kan. game warden asks for help with poached deer investigation

RENO COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating illegal hunting in in Reno County.

On October 22, the Reno County Sheriff's Office notified the Game Warden of a deer laying in a roadway near Woodberry Road and W 125th Street North that appeared to have been shot and dumped on the border of Reno and Harvey Counties, according to a social media report from the game wardens.

Investigators recovered three slugs from the deer, multiple rimfire casings and two spent buckshot shotshells.

Warden's are requesting the public's help to identify the subjects behind this criminal activity.
