SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a Kansas sheriff's deputy for alleged crimes.
Just before 2a.m. Monday, 34-year-old Shawn Swanson was booked in the Shawnee County jail on a requested charge of Domestic battery; Knowing or reckless bodily harm to family/person in dating relationship, according to online jail records.
Just before 11a.m. Monday he met the requirement of a $1,000 bond and is no longer in custody. He has been placed on administrative leave, according to the sheriff's department.
The Topeka Police Department is in charge of the investigation.
