MCPHERSON COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 8:30p.m. Thursday in McPherson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 BMW Z4 Series driven by Gray, Edward D. Gray, 58, Salina, was northbound on Intestate 135 just north of Pioneer Road seven miles north of McPherson. The driver lost control of the vehicle as he attempted to pass another vehicle in the left lane. The car entered the west ditch, continued down the embankment and struck a tree on the passenger side.
EMS transported the driver and a passenger in the car identified as Barbara S. Gray 58, Salina, to the McPherson Center for Health where she was pronounced deceased. Both were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
