WOODSON COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 3p.m. Monday in Woodson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Ford F150 driven by David W. Harrier, 73, Meriden was northbound on U.S. 75 at 130th Road.
The driver attempted to pass an SUV pulling a travel trailer that was following a 1993 Toyota truck driven by Wayne A. Faulkner, 72, Yates Center.
The Ford struck the rear left corner of the Toyota as it was attempting a left turn onto 130 Road. The impact caused the Toyota to rotate counter-clockwise and roll into the west ditch.
Faulkner was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Campbell's Funeral Home. EMS transported a passenger in the Toyota Karen Faulkner, 63, Yates Center to Stormont Vail in Topeka. Harrier was not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
