JACKSON COUNTY, Kan.—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon on new drug allegations.
On Feb. 4, a Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on an Acura passenger car for a traffic infraction near 162nd and U.S. Highway 75, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
During the stop the deputy located illegal contraband. The driver, Paula Louise Michael, 60, of Topeka was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Michael has three previous convictions for drug possession in 2005 and 2010, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
