WYANDOTTE COUNTY —Detectives with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department have identified the woman in Saturday’s domestic dispute in the 1000 block of Orville Avenue.
The victim, 20-year-old, Ingris Carolina Damas Morales, a resident of Kansas City, Kan., died at the scene. The suspect, 43-year-old, Josue Avila-Carcamo Kansas City, Kan. also died at the scene. A third shooting victim was treated and released from an area hospital.
Just before noon Saturday, officers were dispatched to the shooting in the the 1000 block of Orville Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas, according to a media release.
First responders located three adults inside the home. Morales and Avila-Carcamo were pronounced deceased on scene and one man was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
All three had apparent gunshot wounds. The initial investigation indicates that the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute. Detectives are not currently seeking suspects. Police did not release the names of the victims or additional details.
This incident remains under investigation by the KCKPD Major Case Unit.
