SEDGWICK COUNTY — A week after police asked for help to locate an armed and dangerous suspect, police arrested 30-year-old Wesley Roberts, according to a sstatement from Wichita. Police. He was wanted in connection with the shooting investigation that occurred on July 9 in the 1500 block of S. Pattie in Wichita.
Just before 9p.m. Thursday, police located and arrested Roberts in the 700 block of N. Broadway, according to a media release.
The arrest was the result of the coordinated efforts of several Wichita Police units, including Patrol Officers, Investigators, the K-9 Unit, Field Community Response Team (CRT), Violent Crimes Community Response Team (CRT), and the U.S. Marshals Task Force Officer (TFO).
Roberts is being held on charges that include aggravated battery, robbery, criminal possession of a weapon by a felon, criminal damage to property and drug possession, according to online jail records.
