SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting and arrested a 15-year-old boy.
Just after 9 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to a shooting call to the 3000 block of South Everett in Wichita, according to Officer Juan Rebolledo.
First responders located a 15-year-old victim with two gunshot wounds to his abdominal area. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital with critical injuries. The victim underwent surgery and was reported in stable condition Monday.
Preliminary investigation revealed that during the commission of a crime, a 15-year-old suspect shot the victim. Detectives are still working to determine the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
Police have not released all the requested charges the teen suspect faces.
