ELLIS COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 2p.m. Thursday in Ellis County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Brian R. Pertl, 59, Bunker Hill, was northbound on U.S. 183 at Bison Road.
The SUV left the roadway, struck the northbound guardrail, crossed the roadway and stuck the southbound guardrail, crossed the roadway again and struck the northbound guardrail.
The SUV crossed the roadway one final time and came to rest against the southbound guardrail.
EMS transported Pertl to Hays Medical Center. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
