KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a homicide in Kansas City and looking for a suspect.
Just before midnight Wednesday, officers responded to a shooting at 55th and Prospect, according to Sheriff Daryl Forte'.
First responders found a man inside of a vehicle who had been shot, and despite efforts to save his life, paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Investigators believe some kind of interaction between a group of people happened before the shooting. Police have not identified any potential suspects or released the name of the victim. This is the fourth homicide on Prospect since the end of May, according to Forte'.
