JOHNSON COUNTY —Authorities are working to determine the cause of weekend Kansas house fire.
Just before 7:30a.m. Saturday, crews responded to a fire at a home in the 11500 Block of Pawnee Circcle in Leawood, according to a media release.
First responders found heavy fire coming from the rear of the residence. Crews were able to bring the fire under control just before 9a.m and out just before 11a.m.
A preliminary damage estimate is $1 million to the structure and $500,000 to contents. Occupants were able to escape without injury. One firefighter sustained a minor injury.
