MEADE COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a juvenile suspect on multiple allegtions after a chase in Meade County.
On Friday evening, the Meade Count Sheriff's office received reports of a 4-wheeler ATV traveling at high speeds in the city of Meade. This follows similar reports of the vehicle and rider's helmet in recent weeks.
Just after 6p.m. Friday, a sheriff’s deputy attempted a traffic stop on a juvenile driving a four-wheeler that matched the description.
The driver fled the deputy from the attempted stop at Kansas and State Street. This led deputies on a 45-minute chase on city streets and county roads. Deputies eventually apprehended the juvenile driver in a pasture two-and-a-half miles southwest of Meade.
No one was injured during the chase. The juvenile faces requested charges of unauthorized operation of a special purpose vehicle, flee and elude, reckless driving, no insurance and criminal damage to property, according to Sheriff Doug Ritter.
