SW Kan. sheriff's K9 helps deputies discover 20 pounds of meth

MEADE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities in southwest Kansas are recognizing their hard working K9 officer Zero after a traffic stop.

On, January 2, Meade County Kansas Sheriff's Office K-9 Zero indicated on a pickup truck that there were illegal narcotics inside, according to a social media report.

The K9's effort led to a search warrant and the discovery of approximately 20 pounds of methamphetamine.

The sheriff's office did not report the name of suspects or possible charges in the case.
