KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement authorities investigating separate deaths of two woman in the Kansas City metro over the weekend have identified one of those who died.
Just before 9a.m. Sunday, detectives with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department responded to report of a death in the 700 block of Minnesota Avenue. First responders discovered 73-year-old Doanna Stith a resident of Odessa, Missouri outside who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
After further investigation and an autopsy, detectives have determined that there was no foul play involved in this case but rather a medical condition that resulted in her death.
On Saturday, police responded to a medical call, suspicious death in the 4000 block of E. 56th Terrace, according to Sheriff Daryl Forte'.
First responders found a woman deceased inside an apartment. Detectives believe the death is likely not from natural causes. Police have released no additional deaths on this investigation.
