Sheriff: Kansas couple were traveling with meth, marijuana

OSAGE COUNTY –Law enforcement authorities  are investigating two suspects on drug charges after a traffic stop.

Just after 1:30 p.m. Thursday, a sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop on K-268 Highway just before the Quenemo exit for a traffic violation, according to Sheriff Chris Wells. During the stop, deputies located drugs.

The driver of the vehicle, Jackalynn N. Kirk, 19, of Ottawa, was taken into custody and transported to the Osage County Jail Facility on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, marijuana, and illegal registration.

A passenger in the vehicle, Joshua W. Fine, 32, of Quenemo, was taken into custody and transported to the Osage County Jail Facility on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
