KANSAS CITY —One juvenile is dead and two other injured in an other shooting in Kansas City, Missouri.
Just after 5:15p.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to a shooting in the 9200 block of old Santa Fe, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
Upon arrival, the officers were directed to an apartment building where they located a boy over 16 years old suffering from apparent gunshot trauma. Aid was rendered until EMS declared him deceased.
Two additional victims were located and appeared to be suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was an adult male suffering from life threatening injuries. The other was a boy over 16 years old with non-life threatening injuries.
Both victims were transported to area hospitals.
An adult male suspect was located on scene and was taken into custody pending further investigation.
Homicide detectives and crime scene personnel responded to the scene to begin collecting evidence and gathering witness statements. Detectives are not currently seeking any additional persons of interest.
