
SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement investigating a deadly shooting in Topeka have made another arrest.
Just before 1a.m. on November 22, police responded to several reports of gunshots around SE 37th St. and SE Adams Street in Topeka, according to media release. While officers were investigating that area, they received information on a subject arriving at a local hospital by private vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds. That individual later identified as 16-year-old Kingston Scott of Topeka.
On Thursday, police booked a second 16-year-old Topeka boy into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Murder in the 1st degree; In the commission of a felony, Criminal discharge of firearm; Occupied vehicle with great bodily harm and Aggravated Assault; Use of a deadly weapon
On December 5, police booked a 16-year-old boy from Topeka into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges Murder in the 1st degree, in the commission of a felony, Criminal discharge of firearm; Occupied vehicle with great bodily harm and Criminal discharge of firearm; Recklessly at occupied dwelling.
