KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a deadly shooting in Kansas City have identified the man who died as 33-year-old Roygerick L. Harris, according to Police Captain Corey Carlisle.
Just after 7 p.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to 31st and Woodland on a reported sound of shots. First responders located a man inside a vehicle suffering from apparent gun shot wounds.
Nearby citizens also notified officers of another man, later identified as Harris, lying in the street. EMS pronounced him deceased and transported the victim inside the vehicle to an area hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The circumstances leading up to the homicide are unknown. No one is in custody at this time.
