Kansas man accused of heroin distribution

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for alleged drug distribution.

On April 20, police conducted a traffic stop in the 3800 Block of S. Topeka boulevard, which led to a narcotics search warrant service in the 2400 Block of SE Ohio in Topeka, according to Lt. Jerry Monasmith.

During the investigation, officers located heroin, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. They also arrested Charles Handley, 40, of Topeka, and booked him on requested charges that include Possession of heroin with the intent of distribution, Possession of methamphetamine with the intent of distribution and Possession of drug paraphernalia with intent of distribution, according Monasmith.
