SEDGWICK COUNTY —A registered Kansas sex offender accused in violent knife attack made his first court appearance on Thursday. Jeffrey Elam, 27, was charged with attempted 2nd degree murder, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.
His next court date is 12/9/21. The case has been assigned to Judge Christopher Magana. Mr. Elam’s bond is $500,000.
Just after 11:30p.m. November 28, police responded to reports of a stabbing in the 100 block of North St. Francis in Wichita, according to a social media report from police.
