KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a homicide in Kansas City have identified the victim as 46-year-0ld John W. Bartrom, according to Police Captain Corey Carlisle. Bartrom is the founder of Jericho Home Improvement in Kansas City, according to his website.
Just after midnight Saturday, officers responded to 62nd and Prospect on a medical call, according to Sheriff Daryl Forte'.
First responders found Bartrom lying in a parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is being investigated as a homicide. Police has not reported an arrest or possible suspects.
