KANSAS CITY—Authorities are investigating an arson fire in Kansas City.
Just after 12a.m. Friday, the Kansas City Fire Department responded to a fire in a house in the 5100 block of 23rd Street, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.
First responders reported heavy fire and smoke from the two-story house. Searches of the home came back all clear, confirming it was vacant. An investigation determined the fire was intentionally set, according to Hopkins. There were no injuries reported.
