ATCHISON COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on multiple allegations after a Memorial Weekend encounter with police.
Just after 6:30p.m. May 22, officers responded to an apartment complex at 832 Commercial to investigate a report that a person was on the property who had previously been trespassed from the property, according to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson. Officers located 25-year-old Jarrett Lynn in the 800 block Main Street where he was taken into custody after resisting arrest. He was subsequently found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
He is being held on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal trespass, and interference with law enforcement.
