Police ID Kan. man who died after golf cart crash

According to the Salina Police Department, Barry Little was the victim in the golf cart incident on Saturday, according to Police Sergeant Kyle Tonniges.

Little owned a local electrical company, L&S Electric, and worked for other local businesses before starting his own.

SALINE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fatal golf cart crash in Salina.

Early Sunday, Salina Police and Salina Fire Department EMS, responded to a call reporting the death of a 56-year-old man found at Great Life Golf and Fitness, 1800 S Marymount Road, according to Salina Police Sergeant Kyle Tonniges.

An employee of Great Life Golf at 1800 S. Marymount Road found the man underneath a golf cart unresponsive.  EMS confirmed the man's death at the scene.

Police learned that overnight, the man was driving the golf cart, veered off the cart patch and struck a tree, causing the golf cart to land on top of him. The Salina  Police traffic unit is investigating the incident as a vehicle crash. Police have not released the man's name.
