RILEY COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 2p.m. Tuesday in Riley County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a bicycle driven by Mark Frederic Ten Eyck, 74, Minnetrista, Minnesota, was northbound on Kansas 177, on the right shoulder three miles south of Manhattan. A 2022 Subaru SUV driven by Jones, Danielle Rae Jones was in the left lane behind the bicycle. The bicycle crossed in front of the SUV.
Ten Eyck was pronounced dead at the scene. Jones was not injured and properly restrained, according to the KHP.
