WICHITA, KAN. – A federal grand jury in Wichita returned an indictment this week charging two men in connection with a bank robbery, according to the United State's Attorney.

According to court documents, Demond M. Johnson, 18, and Ryan D. Smith, 25, both of Houston, Texas, are charged with one count of bank robbery. The defendants are accused of robbing Credit Union of America on South Ridge Road in Wichita, Kansas, on October 17, 2023.&nbsp;

If convicted, each faces up to 20 years in prison.&nbsp;

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Wichita Police Department are investigating the case.
