BROWN COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man on drug allegations.
Just before 10p.m. Oct. 2, a sheriff's deputy on routine patrol on U.S. 75 Highway near 150th Road encountered a vehicle that he noticed had a tag light violation.
During the traffic stop and talk with the driver identified as Shedrick Ford, 58, of Liberty, Texas, the deputy detected an odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
After investigation, Ford was arrested on requested charges of Possession of Meth, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Expired Vehicle Registration,No Proof of insurance and Driving While License Cancelled, Suspended orRevoked and transported to the Brown County jail. He remains jailed without bond, according to online jail records.
