MANHATTAN —The Manhattan fire department shared some good news Tuesday. According to a social media report from the fire department, "Thanks to Kansas State University Police Department for being a good sport."
"Huge shoutout to the true superheroes of the night, the Manhattan Fire Department," The Kansas State University Police wrote on their social media page.
"Ensuring the scene's safety, our second responders stepped in for assistance. They helped in rescuing Sgt. Sheaves, who got stuck in the Police Department elevator.
The rescue occurred Sunday, when Manhattan Fire Department crews responded to an elevator malfunction at the Hoeflin Stone House 1701 N. Manhattan Avenue, home to the university police department.
There were no injuries reported. The elevator is getting necessary repairs.
