Independent Township board members have nominated a replacement for Bridget Beran, who resigned from her Township Clerk position. The remaining board members have nominated Ryan Oeser to fulfill the remainder of Beran's terms.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Commissioner Kirby Krier said that he knows both Beran and Oeser personally.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

"Bridget did a great job, and she did go off to school. Ryan does a great job as well, and his dad Randy was on the Independent Township Board forever. I will second that motion," explained Krier.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

It is the responsibility of the Barton County Commissioners to make the appointment officially. The Board unanimously approved Ryan Oeser's appointment as Independent Township Clerk at their weekly meeting on Monday.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
