BUTLER COUNTY —Two people died in an accident just before 5p.m. Sunday in Butler County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Chevy Suburban driven by   Crystal D. Ivey, 30, El Dorado, was westbound on SW 150 Road  and failed to stop at the stop sign at SW Santa Fe Lake Road.

The Sisters-Herndon Veterinary Clinic shared on their social media page, "It is with a heavy heart that we have some very saddening news for our Sisters patients and families.  We were informed of a tragic car accident that involved our beloved Dr. Monica Moore and her daughter. Unfortunately with the severity of the accident both passed. We ask at this time for your patience and understanding while we navigate through these next few days. We will be closing Tuesday and Wednesday this week as we figure out how to move forward. We ask that you keep us in your prayers and thoughts as well as the Moore family."

EMS transported Crystal Ivey to Wesley Medical Center. The drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP. The KHP released no additional details on the child who died.
